My Daughter and Her Friends

Last night my daughter asked me what are the ways to build a true friend ship...it's their home work. I gave her some ways that I know. Here are some:
  • Truthfulness - by way of being true to each other in thoughts, in words, and in deeds.
  • Sincerity - by way of being sincere from the heart in caring a friend which means always make sure to let a friend feel the sincerity of a friend relationship.
  • Honesty - by way of being honest in all ways, never provoke a word to create trouble, never say bad words against a friend, if there is any misunderstanding one should be honest to admit mistake and be honest to offer an apology while the other one should also be willing to understand and forgive.
  • Generosity - by way of giving always a helping hand to a friend in need, not only through material things but most importantly by generously giving full support and concern when a friend is in trouble or having a problem.
  • Faithfulness - by way of being faithful to a friend, especially by not hurting and betray the trust which is the foundation of friendship.
  • Humbleness - by way of not bragging, avoid arrogance, share unselfishly the knowledge or any achievement you have that can be useful to a friend or to others to gain more friends.
  • Respect - The golden rule "Do Not Do Unto Others What You Would Not Like Others Do Unto You" should always be applied. This does not only for a friend but for anybody else. One should have a  self-respect first before one can be respected. Respect from others is not asked but earned based from ones own personal behavior and character.
These are just the simple ways that I know which I'm also doing for my friends.
