The Importance of Balanced Diet

The knowledge and experience that I gained when I was in direct selling, selling various supplements almost fifteen years of my life in Brunei made me health conscious. Those useful information that
I gathered from various books, aside from the materials provided by the direct selling company/ies as my reference of the benefits of supplements, and those I stored all in my brain :)

The experience of my costumers during the detoxification  process upon consuming any supplement gave me the knowledge of the effect of every cause of reaction to each of my costumers' body on certain supplements that they take.

Having no interest in knowing the facts about protein, vitamins, calories and so on but do not want to eat the proper foods will lead you to weight imbalance that can probably cause to follow other ailments due to abnormal changes of your system.

The energy, repair materials, the growth materials from infancy through the period of active growth, your vitamins and other substances are all being provided by your food.
"If more food is taken in than is needed for fuel, building , and repair, the body stores it as fat and protein. Neither of these condition is desirable".
Dr. Benjamin F. Miller M.D.

Proper diet is essential because this has a direct influence on emotional health and well-being. Eating inadequate amount of the essential nutrients will not supply the fuel that your body needs for energy and the building blocks that your body use for the growth and repair of tissue.

Starch and sugar are collectively known as carbohydrates, and they are the body's basic source or energy. It is found in potatoes and in grains, such as wheat and rice, as well as in the food made by them -- e.g. spaghetti, bread, crackers and cakes...just to name a few.

Sugar is supplied by vegetables, fruits and honey. When carbohydrates are eaten, the enzymes in the digestive system break them down into simple sugars that can be absorbed into the blood stream where the body uses these simple sugars as fuel. Hence, the source of calories are carbohydrates, which then supply the energy we use in moving, working or just breathing.

Eating more than the required carbohydrates that our body needs as fuel will result in the excess converted to fat. Note that some foods such as candy and cake are specially rich in sugar and starch but poor to vitamins and other essential nutrients.
